  1. Do all players have to register in the new system?Yes, all playershave to register in the new system.
  2. Do all players have to upload a picture and birth document?Yes and no. All players have to upload a current picture (see Picture FAQ's for best practices for uploading a picture). All players have to be age verified with a birth document (birth certificate or passport). Travel players who have played in a previous season have already been age verified and do not have to upload a birth document.

I forgot my password, how do I reset my password? a) Click the Member Login button, b) enter the email address you used to register your player(s) or click on your email address if prefilled, and c) click on forgot password and a reset password email will be sent to you. Note: We have been told that the Username email address and Password fields are case sensitive. If you are having trouble logging on please call the support desk number listed above.

6. I am a Farmington Valley Player, How do I order a new uniform? Farmington Valley Players can order a new uniform from Team Sports by using the following link: http://Simsburysoccerstore.com.

  1. I am an existing coach,do I have to register in the new system as a coach? Yes, all coaches have to register in the new system.
  2. I did my background check last year, do I what to do it again?Yes, all coaches, assistant coaches, team managers and team treasurers have will have new background checks run on them. The background check process is much more comprehensive that the old background check process?
  3. I took the CDC Concussion Course last year, do I have to take it again? No, you only have to take the couse every 3 years. You do have to upload your certificate of completion.
  4. What is the URL of the Safety Course and is it free? The URL is: https://www.safesport.org/. The course is free, but you must select US Soccer as your NGB and then enter the following access code: YC3E-6P5G-YYIL-CS2M.
  5. I completed the Concussion Course and Safe Sport Course - Where do I upload my course completion documents? See example below:

6. There is a third icon for a Safety Certificate, do I have to take a safety course too? No, the Club is not requiring you to take a safety couse at this time. The safety certificate icon is just a placeholder for a club specific requirement.

7. I have a thumbs down "not cleared" icon showing next to my name, what does that mean? The reason you are not cleared is because by default all coaches, assistant coaches, team managers and team treasures are not cleared when they resister. Gus (or Christine in the case of an existing coach) has to approve each coach, assistant coach, team manager, and team treasurer. This allows Gus to evaluate new people who want to be a coach, assistant coach, team manager, and team treasurer. Once approved the new background check will be run, and then Christine can move the person onto the team roster.


Picture FAQ's - Responses

  1. How do I upload a picture?

During the registration process you will be asked to upload a player picture and their Birth Document on the following screen. If you don't have the picture and/or Birth Document available when you are registering, you can always add it later once you have completed the player registration process.

Player's Picture

The player's picture should be a portrait of the player's head (see sample below) and the recommended file size is 150px by 200 px, and the recommended file type is png, jpg or jpeg.

If you don't have a picture editor, we recommend you using the free online Pixlr Editor: Pixlr Editor

Players cannot be approved to participate without these documents.

Note: The photo must be a current head shot with the player facing the camera, and not wearing a hat or sunglasses.
